I was needing to make a photo slideshow DVD with family's photos, so I searched on the internet for some kind of a Free Software for making my work easy. I've found a website with the Top 5 or 10 photo slideshow DVD recorder free software, and I downloaded one that seemed to me more useful for what I was planning. So, I after installing the software on my computer, I started the work. And I really had liked the software, it was very simple and useful. I could add many kinds of effects and transitions, music, it was all that I was needed. The problem is, after finish my work, when I had started to burn the DVD, the software asked for the register, but if you don't have, it is allowed to continue the use without some advantages that only premium users have. No problem, I kept on the work. Suddenly, during the authoring process, I realized that on the sample image there was a great watermaker right on the middle of the screen, and probably that thing would appear in the final result. And it was what happened when the DVD was ready, a big watermark was covering all photos, I barely couldn't see them. I became so nervous because I wasted really too much time organizing all those photos, and edit all the project in a detailed way, and in the final, all my efforts were in vain.
I understand that I have to buy the license, but the problem is that the software was available as a free on the website, and at least the basic functions should work normally. But, actually, that was a false free software, because it is completely useless if you don't have the license. So, what I can say now is: take care of the free software on the internet, only a few work well, the majority if it's not a fake free one, it can bring a lot of viruses and malware when installed.
